Danni Stephens Legal (Formerly DLS Law) opened its doors in August 2020. The firm was borne from a desire to represent those who require assistance, regardless of their means. To that end Danni Stephens has been fixing her fees since 2011 and continues that practice where possible. We believe in costs transparency and ensuring our clients obtain the best representation in a financially manageable way.

The Danni Stephens Legal Team
Danni Stephens
Danni Stephens commenced practice in 2011. Moving to a private suburban firm in 2014 Danni had the benefit of undertaking large cases and briefing Senior Counsel in many matters. Danni decided it was time to take all of the positives she had learnt, starting out initially as a sole practitioner, then managing partner of Graham & Stephens. Danni Stephens Legal has been the culmination of that work. Running things her own way, with like-minded and meticulous staff, Danni has always emphasised work-life balance while being committed to thorough representation of her clients. Danni specialises in criminal defence, working in all jurisdictions.
Taylor Johanson
Taylor commenced practice at Danni Stephens Legal in August 2020 after working for many years at the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement. Taylor’s passion for defence work was immediately apparent as she worked tirelessly to assist clients in both the Youth Court, Magistrates Court, District Court, and Supreme Court. She describes herself as having a dedication to the law, and is proud to assist people in need to navigate their way through the difficult process that is the Courts system. Taylor has been voted a rising star in the Law by both the Advertiser and Doyle’s Guide. Her clients would be unsurprised by this given her overall work ethic and dedication to her clients.
Madaline Anderson
Madaline commenced practice at Danni Stephens Legal in March 2021 after working in both private practice and at the Legal Services Commission, developing a practice in Care and Protection. Her work in that area has increased exponentially and she is now considered an expert in the area, being asked by the law society to participate in seminars and to engage younger solicitors in the field. Her care and determination is unparalleled and she always obtains exemplary results for her clients. She also practices in the Youth Court defending youth clients in the most serious of cases.
Oi Yee Siow
Oi Yee commenced practice at Danni Stephens Legal in July 2022. Prior to that she had been at the firm for almost a year completing her legal training and working as a clerk. Oi Yee has developed her skills quickly and has proven herself to be a diligent and careful solicitor with an attention to detail and understanding of her clients needs. She practices in the Youth Court and all Magistrates Court.
